Vandalism at the Monroe High School prompted all local Monroe schools to be closed for the day this past Friday. According to this report from WBAY vandals broke out several glass doors using rocks, creating a security risk as well as a mess.

Vandalism sounds like a minor criminal charge, but these minor charges could turn into felony criminal damage charges should the damages reach a certain dollar amount.

According to the Monroe police Chief a projectile was used to break out seven glass doors. A baseball bat was used to break windows as well. The entire school system was shut down for the day, prompting kids of Monroe to have an unexpected day off.
